Skysports.com understands Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Danny Green is undergoing a medical at Charlton Athletic and is set to sign a three-year contract.
Green has been a target for several clubs after impressing for Dagenham last season, but Charlton look to have won the race for the 22-year-old.
The Addicks' League One rivals Sheffield Wednesday have shown an interest in Green, while Peterborough United have also made bids for the player.
Skysports.com revealed last week that an unnamed Championship club had seen an offer accepted by Dagenham, but Green looks set to plump for a move to Charlton.
Addicks boss Chris Powell is trying to build a squad capable of winning promotion from League One next season and Green will be a key addition to his plans.
