Defender signs two-year contract at Greenhous Meadow

Shrewsbury Town have completed the signing of Joe Jacobson from Accrington Stanley on a two-year contract. The 24-year-old successfully underwent a medical at Greenhous Meadow on Tuesday before putting pen to paper. Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner is pleased to have signed Jacobson, having watched the defender last season. Turner told Shrewsbury's official website: "He is 24 years old but has a lot of experience having played a good number of games in the Football League. "Joe has an excellent left foot and is good at going forward to help support the side. "He is a player that we have watched closely at the back end of last season and worked hard over the summer to bring him to Shrewsbury Town."
