Doncaster have signed Sheffield Wednesday left-back Tommy Spurr on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Leeds-born Spurr progressed through the ranks at Hillsborough but slipped down the pecking order at since Gary Megson's arrival in February. And he said he was delighted to join Sean O'Driscoll's Championship outfit. Spurr said: "When I knew Doncaster was interested, I was more than delighted to speak to them and over the moon to sign, as I knew Wednesday were not wanting to keep me. "When I spoke to Sean, he made me feel like he wanted me to come and play for him. "The decision to sign was a no-brainer, especially with Rovers being a Championship club, as you always want to play at the highest level you can."
