Barnsley have followed up the signing of Jim McNulty by completing a deal to bring in Rochdale defender Scott Wiseman.
New Tykes boss Keith Hill has raided his former club to secure Wiseman on a three-year contract following the arrival of McNulty earlier on Friday.
Wiseman was a key figure for Hill during his time in charge at Rochdale and his signing will help to boost Barnsley's defensive options for next season.
Hill will now focus on following up the captures of McNulty and Wiseman by trying to finalise a deal for winger Matty Done.
A double deal for Wiseman and Done was agreed with Rochdale earlier this week, although the latter has yet to settle on personal terms with the Championship club.
