Hearts new boy Mehdi Taouil has expressed his delight at the ambition shown by the club this summer.
Taouil is one of four new faces at Tynecastle following the acquisitions of John Sutton, Jamie Hamill and Danny Grainger.
The Moroccan is delighted with the calibre of captures, saying manager Jim Jefferies has targeted the right signings.
The Edinburgh club finished third in the standings last time around and Taouil feels Jefferies is building a competitive team.
"We can see Hearts have signed four players for the moment," he told Sky Sports News.
"They are really good players and they know the SPL well.
"That shows the ambition the club have. They've tried to players with experience.
"They try to bring them to have a strong team."
