Skysports.com understands that Richard Naylor is in talks over a move to Doncaster.
The veteran defender was released by Leeds at the end of the season and is available on a free transfer.
The 34-year-old made 15 appearances for Leeds last season despite spending five months out due to a knee injury.
The previous campaign he made 37 appearances to help his hometown club earn promotion from League One.
Naylor joined Leeds in January 2009, initially on loan, having spent 14 years with Ipswich, and he has now racked up 411 league appearances.
Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll is keen to bring an experienced figure into his defence after Rovers finished one place above the Championship drop zone last season.
