Swindon midfielder Michael Timlin is expected to sign a new contract to stay at the County Ground.
The 26-year-old's future had been in doubt - he had been linked with a move to Southend - but he has verbally agreed his new deal with club officials.
Timlin had a spell on loan during the first half of last season, but returned to Swindon and became a regular in the starting line-up under Danny Wilson and then Paul Hart.
He began his career at Fulham and had loan spells at Scunthorpe, Doncaster and Swindon (twice) before sealing a permanent move to the County Ground in May 2008.
