Marseille sporting director Jose Anigo is 'very confident' of securing the signature of Bordeaux midfielder Alou Diarra.
France international Diarra has been linked with a summer exit from Stade Chaban Delmas, with several sides rumoured to be interested.
And it appears Marseille have won the race to acquire his signature, with Anigo hopeful of completing a deal in the coming weeks.
"We're talking quietly with Bordeaux," he told La Marseillaise. "I'm very confident and we're in agreement with the player.
"It will cost us a little over four million euros (£3.6m), though discussions are ongoing around that to agree the right price."
Anigo also confirmed the club are keen to sign Monaco defender Nicolas Nkoulou, but they have yet to make an approach.
"The goal is to ensure that Didier has his squad as soon as possible," Anigo added.
