Ellington snubs Preston return

Nathan Ellington will not be returning to Preston next season after a less than prolific spell at Deepdale.

The striker spent the second half of last season on loan at North End from Watford, scoring twice in 18 appearances. He is a free agent this summer after his contract at Watford expired. The 29-year-old used the social networking site Twitter to reveal that he would not be back at Deepdale. "I won't be returning I'm afraid," said Ellington. "Things were a bit complicated for the club which meant it couldn't happen. "Phil Brown is a good manager and I wish him all the best."
