Mackail-Smith keeps options open

Craig Mackail-Smith has held talks with a Premier League club, but the Peterborough striker is biding his time over his next move.

Wigan, Everton, QPR and Norwich have all been linked with a summer move for Mackail-Smith, who hit 35 goals to help Posh to promotion back to the Championship last season. But, as announced last week, so far only one club have had a bid accepted for the 27-year-old. "We have accepted one bid for Craig at this stage and have allowed him to speak to that Premier League club," Posh director of football Barry Fry told the Evening Telegraph. "I know Craig has spoken to the manager of the club concerned but he certainly hasn't agreed to anything as yet. "Craig wants to keep his options open because he knows there are at least a dozen clubs in for him."
