Argentine will not be allowed to leave for less than €15m

Atletico Madrid are not prepared to sell Eduardo Salvio for anything less than €15million (£13.4m). The 20-year-old forward spent last season on loan at Benfica and the terms of the deal mean that the Portuguese club have the option to make the transfer permanent. But Atletico will not accept anything under the €15m mark and Salvio, who suffered a fractured metatarsal in April, is set to return to the Vicente Calderon. "Salvio knows that he will only leave here if someone pays €15million - ie. what is stipulated in the purchase option signed with Benfica," Atletico president Enrique Cerezo said in Portuguese newspaper Record. On reported interest from Fiorentina, Cerezo added: "We have not received any offer from that club in relation to Salvio." Salvio is not expected to return to fitness following his foot injury until September, but Cerezo does not believe that reduces his value. "I am convinced that Salvio can be a great signing for Atletico Madrid in time," he said.
