Adlene Guedioura believes Wolves can improve next season if they learn lessons from a disappointing campaign.

The Wolves midfielder, who missed most of the season with a broken leg, returned to full fitness at the back end of the campaign and is relishing the prospect of another term in the Premier League.

And the 25-year-old hopes Mick McCarthy's team - who finished one place above the drop zone on the final day of the season despite a 3-2 defeat - will learn from their mistakes.

"We must learn the lessons from this season and if we do then next season will hopefully be better."

Difficult

The Algerian international told the club's official website: "It was a really tough, difficult season which wasn't easy with the various ups and downs we went through.

"Thankfully it was mostly up at the end. It needed a huge effort from all of us to survive - the lads, the fans, everyone.

"And I think we can get better next season. We ended up with a defeat on the last day which we were sorry about.

"But thankfully we stayed up, so we must learn the lessons from this season and if we do then next season will hopefully be better."
