Milan dismiss Hamsik talk

Adriano Galliani has insisted there are no plans in place for AC Milan to try and sign Napoli's Marek Hamsik.

Galliani also denies holding an interest in Pastore

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has insisted there are no plans in place to try and sign Napoli's Marek Hamsik. Hamsik continues to be linked with a move away from Napoli despite signing a new deal last September to keep him at the club until 2015. Milan were thought to be interested and Galliani admitted last week he could not rule out a swoop for the Slovakian. However, Galliani maintains there is no truth in recent media reports suggesting discussions have been held over a possible switch. "With regards to Hamsik, I can confirm that we are not in negotiations, nor will we enter negotiations, to sign him," he said. Galliani also reiterated that Milan were not considering a move for Palermo's Javier Pastore, as their priorities lie in strengthening other positions. "Pastore? We are not interested," Galliani told Gazzetta dello Sport. "He is a playmaker and we are looking for a left midfielder."
