Nemanja Vidic admits Manchester United were outplayed by Barcelona in Saturday's UEFA Champions League final.
Despite going in at the break on equal terms, Barca controlled the Wembley showdown from start to finish, eventually winning 3-1.
Goals from their frontline trio of Pedro, Lionel Messi and David Villa ensured a fourth European Cup for Barca.
Unided defender Vidic, who struggled with Barca's formidable attack, admits the Catalan club are worthy winners of the competition.
"They played very well," he told Sky Sports HD1. "They had more chances than we did and we have to hold up our hands up and say they were better than us.
"When you get to this point, obviously you want to win and you feel really disappointed when you don't win. But we played good football.
"I think if you look at it we have never played a team in the past like Barcelona, they played good football and deserved to win.
"We tried to press high and in some parts of the game we did well. The goals we lost, we didn't do what we have to do to close their players down.
"When they have time on the ball they can make the final pass and that is what they did."
