Southend United midfielder Craig Easton has revelead that he wants to stay at Roots Hall next season.
The midfielder, who captained the Shrimpers last season, is out of contract soon but has revealed his desire to stay at Roots Hall and help the club push for promotion next season.
"I want to stay at Southend," he told The Echo.
"I think there is the nucleus of a really good side here and certainly something for the gaffer to build on.
"We do need to be more consistent but I think there's a good chance of going for promotion and I want to be a part of that."
