Blackpool midfielder weighing up his options regarding his future

Blackpool midfielder David Vaughan has revealed Rangers have expressed an interest in signing him on a free transfer. Vaughan will shortly be out of contract at Bloomfield Road and has been offered a new deal to stay with the Seasiders. However, following the club's relegation from the Premier League, the Wales international has been tipped to leave Blackpool. Sunderland are understood to be favourites to sign the 28-year-old on a three-year contract, while the likes of Everton, Stoke and West Brom have also been linked with bids. SPL champions Rangers are also keen on the former Crewe Alexandra man and Vaughan is assessing his options regarding his next move. "I know my agent has spoken to Rangers," Vaughan told STV. "I've just got to take it from there and leave it in his hands. "In Scotland, Rangers are a massive club and they play in the Champions League. So it is an attraction. "I've just got to weigh up all my options and see where it takes me."
