Harry Redknapp has confirmed his interest in Lille playmaker Eden Hazard but suggested his priority is to target current Premier League players.
Tottenham boss Redknapp is planning to freshen up his squad in the summer following the failure to secure a second successive season in the UEFA Champions League.
Hazard is among the players to have been linked with a move to White Hart Lane after establishing himself as one of the brightest young prospects in European football.
The Belgium international is also a reported £20million target for Spurs' domestic rivals Liverpool and Redknapp has watched the schemer in action.
Openings
However, with West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker heavily linked with Spurs, Redknapp outlined where he is currently putting his focus regarding his transfer plans.
"Yeah, I like him," said Redknapp of Hazard. "I watched him this week.
"He is a good player, but it's difficult because there are some good players in this country that I like.
"There's a few lads over here I would like to go for if we can make some openings. We need to make openings first."
