Skysports.com understands Danny Woodards is wanted by clubs in the Championship after rejecting a new contract at MK Dons.
Woodards has made over 70 appearances during two seasons with the Dons, but is set to leave on a free transfer following the club's failure to reach the League One play-off final.
The 27-year-old, who primarily operates at right-back, but can also play at centre-half, moved to stadium:mk on a two-year deal from Crewe Alexandra in 2009.
However, after turning down the chance to stay with Karl Robinson's side, Woodards could now secure a move to the Championship.
It is understood that Bristol City, Doncaster Rovers and Ipswich Town are all keen on pursuing a deal for Woodards.
Sheffield United, who have been relegated from the second tier, are also thought to be among the clubs showing an interest.
