Millwall have rewarded young striker John Marquis with a new long-term deal at the Den.

The 19-year-old, who has scored four goals this season, has inked a new three-year contract after winning his first professional deal last summer.

Marquis is highly rated at Millwall and the player is delighted to have pledged his long-term future to the club.

"I am over the moon to commit my future to Millwall," Marquis told skysports.com.

"I am happy the club have rewarded me with a new three-year deal and I am thankful to all the staff for helping me this season.

"I am grateful to Kenny Jackett for giving me a chance to play and I am happy with how I finished the season as it gives me a good platform to start next season.

"I believe we are a club on the up and next season we can challenge to finish in the top six and reach the play-offs."
