George Elokobi is keen for Wolves to keep the pressure off themselves ahead of Sunday's showdown with Blackburn.
Wolves are one of five sides that will enter 'Survival Sunday' with their Premier League status hanging in the balance.
Mick McCarthy's men go into the home clash with fellow strugglers Blackburn two places and one point above the drop zone.
"We are not treating it as a cup final as that will just put extra pressure on ourselves," Elokobi told skysports.com.
"We know what is at stake and we don't need to stress.
"It is another game of football and we will treat it like we have the other 37 games we have played this season.
"We respect every game we play and we will try and make sure we do everything we can to stay in the Premier League."
Wolves go into the final weekend of the campaign as the form team of the five clubs battling to stay up after winning their last two games and Elokobi is confident they will finish the job off against Blackburn.
"Everyone is confident and the mood in the camp is all good," added Elokobi.
"It is vital we win and get the three points to stay in the Premier League.
"It is a bonus that we are playing at home in front of our own fans and they will push us on to win the game."
Elokobi is expecting a tough game against Blackburn with Steve Kean's troops also fighting to stay up.
"Blackburn are a tough team and it will be a tough game as they are also fighting to stay up, but if we stick together and concentrate on our own game we are good enough to win the game and get the three points to stay up," concluded Elokobi.
