Alessandro Nesta has become the latest senior player to pen a contract extension at AC Milan.

Centre-half signs up for another 12 months with Rossoneri

Alessandro Nesta has become the latest senior player to pen a contract extension at AC Milan. The experienced centre-half has committed his future to the newly-crowned Serie A champions for another 12 months. He follows the lead of Thiago Silva, Flavio Roma and Mark van Bommel, who have all agreed new deals. Nesta will now remain at Giuseppe Meazza until the summer of 2012, taking him to a decade of service in Milan. The 35-year-old was signed from Lazio in 2002 and has won two Serie A titles and two UEFA Champions League crowns during his time with the Rossoneri. He also became a World Cup winner while a Milan player, as he helped Italy to global glory back in 2006.
