Knill expects bid for Jones

Scunthorpe manager Alan Knill expects Sheffield Wednesday to rekindle their interest in defender Rob Jones.

Jones played eight times during a successful loan spell at Hillsborough at the end of this season and Knill is anticipating a formal bid for the 31-year-old. Knill said: "He's done really well there, so I would expect some interest. "The indication is that they are quite happy with him, so I would expect us to have some sort of communication with Sheffield Wednesday." Wednesday manager Gary Megson has already indicated that he intends to use the loan market again to boost his squad ahead of next season. However any move for Jones could be scuppered if Scunthorpe look to recoup some of the £350,000 they spent on him only two years ago.
