Lyon have warned Juventus that they must move quickly if they wish to sign Michel Bastos this summer.
The Brazilian winger has been the subject of intense transfer speculation for some time, with Juve admitting that they are hoping to do a deal.
Talks have stalled, though, with the Serie A giants yet to reach an agreement with Lyon.
The Ligue 1 outfit are keen for the issue to be resolved one way or another as soon as possible, allowing them to know where they stand.
That means Juve must push through a switch or risk missing out on Bastos altogether.
"This story has been dragging on for a while," Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas told Tuttosport.
"Last summer we were not prepared to release him, but things have changed and we want to make the player happy.
"A while ago, agent Oscar Damiani spoke to one of our directors to confirm Juventus were still interested.
"Since then, we have been waiting for them to make an official move. It hasn't happened yet. It's up to their director general Giuseppe Marotta to call and certainly not up to us.
"Once the season is over we cannot drag the matter on for long, so Bastos could well stay."
