Sheffield Wednesday are lining up a move for former Sheffield United defender Claude Davis, skysports.com understands.
Davis is available on a free transfer after being released by Crystal Palace earlier this month and Wednesday boss Gary Megson has targeted a move for the Jamaican international.
The 32-year-old lost his place in the Palace side during the second half of the season and Eagles boss Dougie Freedman decided not to offer Davis a new deal.
A number of clubs are believed to be keen on signing Davis, but Wednesday are hopeful of luring him to Hillsborough.
Megson is planning big changes at Wednesday this summer and he sees Davis as a key addition to his squad as he looks to build a side capable of winning promotion.
