Ipswich shot-stopper signs new two-year contract

Ipswich Town goalkeeper Arran Lee-Barrett has signed a new two-year contract with the Championship club. The 27-year-old, who would have been a free agent in the summer, has committed himself to the Tractor Boys until 2013. Lee-Barrett is enthused by the future he sees at Portman Road and is now looking forward to the next two years.

Resolution

"Obviously I'm very pleased to have sorted my future out here," he told the club's official website. "It's a great football club and it's good to be part of the squad going forward. "Like any player who is coming to the end of their contract it's always in the back of your mind what is going to happen. "You just focus on the football and trying to prove you deserve a new contract. "That is what has pleased me, that the manager sees me as part of his plans and given me the two years."
