Skysports.com understands a host of Championship clubs are chasing Leicester City defender Jack Hobbs.
Hobbs is expected to leave Leicester this summer after finding himself out of favour under manager Sven Goran Eriksson.
The former Liverpool youngster ended the season on loan at Hull City and he impressed during his spell at the KC Stadium.
The news that Leicester are prepared to offload Hobbs comes as a surprise as, only last season, he was voted player of the year and players' player of the year, but it appears he does not figure in Eriksson's long-term plans.
Hull are leading the chase for Hobbs with Tigers boss Nigel Pearson a huge fan of the central defender having signed him during his time in charge of Leicester.
However, a number of other Championship clubs have been alerted to Hobbs' possible availability and are ready to battle Hull for the former England Under 21 international's signature.
