Leeds United boss Simon Grayson has taken up the option to keep Honduras international Ramon Nunez at Elland Road next season.
Nunez has made just two substitute appearances for United but he impressed whilst on loan at Scunthorpe, scoring three goals in eight games for the Iron.
His previous six-month deal at Leeds included the option of a further 12 months and Grayson is keen to give Nunez the chance to impress.
"We signed Ramon in January until the end of the season, but with an option for another year," Grayson told the club's official website.
"He is a talented player and he's proved that by doing well at Scunthorpe, so we have decided to exercise that option.
"Ramon will come back in the summer with an opportunity to make an impression here."
