Nuri Sahin's move to Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund has been confirmed by both clubs.
The German champions were helpless to prevent Sahin from leaving as he had a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for a set fee of less than £6million.
Dortmund tried to convince the 22-year-old to pen a new deal, but he has instead opted to join the Spanish giants.
Sahin has been handed a six-year contract by Madrid, and will officially move to the Spanish capital on 1st July.
The Turkish international, who came through the youth system at Dortmund, admitted it was a huge decision for him to make.
"The decision was hard to take. I am Borussia and will remain Borussia. I will miss Dortmund," he confirmed at a press conference.
