Defender understood to be attracting interest

Skysports.com understands a host of English sides are tracking FC Copenhagen defender Mathias Jorgensen. Jorgensen is regarded as one of the best young defenders in Europe after impressing for club and country over the last 12 months. The 21-year-old has established himself as a key player for Copenhagen since joining from B93 in 2007. Jorgensen caught the eye in this season's UEFA Champions League campaign, including the two games against Chelsea, and he helped Copenhagen retain their title this year. His form has not gone unnoticed around Europe, with clubs all across the continent keeping tabs on his situation. The likes of Tottenham, Everton and Newcastle are all thought to be admirers of Jorgensen having watched him in action recently. Italian giants Roma are also tracking the talented central defender along with German trio Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Hoffenheim. FC Copenhagen are reluctant to lose Jorgensen as they prepare for next season's Champions League, but they could face a fight to fend off the growing interest in the player.
