Brentford's on-loan defender Robbie Neilson admits he has no idea where his future lies.
The 30-year-old has been on loan from Leicester since February but is due to return to the Walkers Stadium after Brentford's last game of the season against Huddersfield on Saturday.
Neilson has made just one appearance for the Foxes under Sven-Goran Eriksson's reign, and he expects showdown talks with the Swede upon his return.
"I don't know what's happening at Leicester yet, so I'll have to go back and see whether I have a future there," the Scot told the Leicester Mercury.
"I've still got a year left on my contract but it looks like the owners are going to put some money in and have a real go next year."
Neilson has played 14 League One games for the Bees and also featured in a Wembley final, albeit in defeat to Carlisle in the Johnstone's
"I just want to play football," he added. "I've had a great time at Brentford and it's been good to get regular game time.
"They are a great set of lads and coming here permanently would definitely be something I would think about."
Eriksson, though, has pleaded for patience from all his loaned out stars while he analyses his transfer options.
He said: "It depends on who we are taking in and how many of the loan players we can keep.
"The clubs of our loanees have not yet decided what they are going to do for next season."
