Scottish midfielder happy to win MK Dons prize

MK Dons star Peter Leven has set his sights on helping the club win promotion after picking up a prize at the club's end of season awards. The Scottish midfielder was named as the Football Writers' Player of the Year after another stellar campaign for the Dons. The 27-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has been instrumental in helping the Dons secure their place in the play-offs, chipping in with eight goals from midfield. MK Dons end the season with a trip to Oldham on Saturday and Leven is focused on going all the way in the play-offs by helping the club win promotion to the Championship.

Thrilled

"I am thrilled to bits to win the award and it shows I have been alright this season," Leven told skysports.com. "I am happy with my form this season and it is good for it to be recognised by others. "I want to repay the club's coaching staff and the supporters by helping them win the play-offs. "It has been a great season to reach the play-offs and to win promotion to the Championship would cap it all off."
