Sheffield United ace Daniel Bogdanovic admits he is frustrated to miss the club's survival fight because of injury.
Bogdanovic has been forced to miss the Blades' last two games with an ankle injury and he is doubtful for this weekend's vital clash with former club Barnsley.
The Malta international joined the Blades last summer from Barnsley after scoring 16 goals for the Tykes in the Championship last term.
United are staring down the barrel of relegation as they are six points adrift of safety with only two games left in the Championship campaign.
The Blades also have an inferior goal difference to their relegation rivals and Bogdanovic is frustrated he can not help the club maintain their slim hopes of survival.
Frustrated
"I am frustrated that I have not been able to help my team-mates in the last few games because of injury," Bogdanovic told
skyports.com.
"Unfortunately I turned my ankle against Cardiff earlier this month and then I tried to come back too early against Bristol City, but my ankle was still not right.
"I am doubtful for the game against Barnsley and I will be gutted to miss out against my former club and help Sheffield United try and avoid relegation."
Despite their predicament, Bogdanovic insists United will not give up on their chances of survival no matter how slim they are.
Bad situation
"It is a bad situation for the club, but everything is possible in football," added Bogdanovic.
"Unfortunately it is out of our hands as we need to win both our games and score a lot of goals, while hope the others teams lose by a lot of goals.
"We will give it out all and fight to the end, but I am frustrated I am not able to help the team on the pitch."
"I am sorry for the club and the fans as we don't deserve to be in this situation.
"Sheffield United are a big club and they don't belong in League One."
