Blackburn and Everton are monitoring the situation of Espanyol playmaker Jose Callejon, skysports.com understands.
The Premier League duo are believed to have sent scouts to view the 24-year-old Spaniard during Espanyol's 1-0 defeat at Sporting Gijon on Sunday.
Callejon has scored six times in 32 Primera Liga starts for the Catalan club this season and has previously been linked with West Ham and Wigan.
Espanyol refused to comment directly on the speculation but, amid financial difficulties, the club are likely to sell assets this summer.
A club representative told skysports.com: "The club have not designed the scheme of players for the following season but will soon speak about big exits."
Callejon, a graduate of Real Madrid's academy, attracted interest in January but his €8million (£7.1million) price tag is likely to have dropped with his contract expiring in 2012.
