Craig Gardner believes Birmingham need four more points in order to steer clear of relegation.

The Blues remain precariously perched just four points above the drop zone with just 12 more left to play for.

Their remaining fixtures will see them take in home dates with Wolves and Fulham and tricky trips to Newcastle and Tottenham.

Gardner feels Alex McLeish's men need at least a win and a draw from those four games to preserve their Premier League status.

Huge game

A 5-0 mauling against Liverpool on Saturday did little for their confidence heading into the run-in, but a crunch clash with Wolves on Sunday will offer them an opportunity to start moving in the right direction.

"We still need another win and a draw," said Gardner.

"We've just got to put this [the Liverpool defeat] behind us now and move to the next game.

"We've got a huge game at home to Wolves next week, so we'll just try to move on to that now."
