St Johnstone defender Danny Grainger admits he would be tempted by a summer move to League One club Carlisle United.
Grainger is out of contract at the end of the season and is keen to test himself in English football next term.
He has spent the past two years with St Johnstone, but has been linked with a free transfer to boyhood heroes Carlisle.
The 24-year-old has yet to be contacted by the Cumbrians, but acknowledged he would have to consider any opportunity to move to Brunton Park.
"I'm a Carlisle fan so if they offered me a contract I would seriously think about it," said Grainger in the Daily Record.
"My ambition is to play in League One or the Championship. Cumbria is my home so a move to Carlisle would appeal."
