Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson dispatched his most trusted scout, his brother Martin, to keep further tabs on goalkeeping target David De Gea on Sunday.
Martin Ferguson was present in Barcelona on Sunday to see Atletico Madrid draw 2-2 with Espanyol.
Last week saw numerous reports in both Spain and England suggesting that a near £20million deal for De Gea was all-but done for him to move to United in the summer.
Ferguson, De Gea and Atletico denied this, but it does appear as if the Spaniard has become United's No.1 target to replace the retiring Edwin van der Sar at Old Trafford.
Ferguson's trip to Spain was his second to check on Atletico, having also been present to watch their game with Valencia earlier in the season.
