Burnley have opted not to appeal the red card handed out to Marvin Bartley in their 2-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest.
Bartley was dismissed following a challenge with Forest defender Luke Chambers and will now miss their next three matches.
Clarets manager Eddie Howe was unhappy with the decision but has resigned himself to losing Bartley for the games with Swansea, Middlesbrough and Derby.
"We didn't appeal the sending off. It was very difficult to see the tackle on the DVD with the angle of shot," said Howe.
"It didn't clear Marvin but it was a poor decision."
Meanwhile, Clarets' 21-year-old midfielder Alex-Ray Harvey will remain at Blue Square Bet Premier side Fleetwood until the end of April.
