Ian Holloway admits he is unsure how long Blackpool midfielder David Vaughan will be sidelined with injury.
The 28-year-old has played a key role in the Seasiders' maiden Premier League campaign this season as they battle to avoid the drop.
But he was absent for their 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at Bloomfield Road on Sunday after picking up a hip problem.
Vaughan's injury could not have come at a worse time for Blackpool, who sit just a point clear of the drop zone with a relegation six-pointer looming against Wigan on Saturday.
And manager Holloway says he does not yet know the severity of the knock, telling the Daily Star: "Vaughan has an injury and we're not sure how long he will be out.
"I don't think the number of games he has played has helped.
"Like Charlie Adam, he hasn't really stopped for 18 months and didn't get much rest in the summer because we were in the play-offs."
