Elmohamady: Expected to complete a permanent switch to the Stadium of Light
Ahmed Elmohamady has yet to put pen to paper on a permanent deal at Sunderland, but insists his head has not been turned by interest from elsewhere.
The Egyptian, on-loan from ENPPI in his homeland, has previously voiced his delight at having verbally agreed a £2million move after the two clubs held talks in March.
Confirmation of the move has yet to surface and Elmohamady claims other clubs are tracking his situation, but he has every intention of honouring his word to Sunderland.
"I like it here at Sunderland and I am happy," he told the Sunderland Echo.

"I know the other players, I know the manager and the fans have been very good to me. It's a very good club.
"There has been other interest in me - three other clubs that I know about, in England and abroad.
"But I am not interested in going anywhere else. I want to come to Sunderland. And my club back in Egypt are happy for me to come here."
Versatile Elmohamady, 23, has featured in all but two of Sunderland's Premier League games, including 20 starts, and he is keen to add goals to his ever improving game.
He said: "I am a better player now than when I first came to England because I am adapting all the time.
"I know I can get better and I want to start scoring goals too."
