Argentine defender Mauro Cetto has revealed that he is to leave Toulouse this summer as a free agent.

The 29-year-old will see his contract expire at the end of the season and he has confirmed that he has no intention of penning an extension.

That means he will be free to take on a new challenge elsewhere.

Montpellier are the favourites to secure his signature, with terms having already been put to the centre-half.

No change

"Yes, it is almost certain that I will be leaving Toulouse this summer," said Cetto.

"I haven't spoken to my agent about a new deal and I don't plan to.

"I can't see anything changing between now and the end of the season."

Toulouse chairman Olivier Sadran has begrudgingly accepted that Cetto will be joining a Ligue 1 rival.

He said: "We made him an offer that is better than his current contract.

"However, it is his right to go to Montpellier if that is what he wants to do."
