Bramall Lane incident lands Boro striker in trouble
Middlesbrough striker Marvin Emnes has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association.
The charge relates to an incident during Boro's 2-1 win away to Sheffield United on Saturday, for which the Dutchman was not booked by referee Andy Woolmer.
Emnes appeared to kick out at Blades midfielder Michael Doyle and the 22-year-old has until 6pm on Tuesday to respond to the charge.
Emnes scored an 89th minute winner for Tony Mowbray's side to take his tally for the season to five after scoring in successive matches.
