Brad Guzan has revealed he plans to hold talks with Aston Villa about his future after ending his spell at Hull City.
The American's loan spell at Hull came to an end at the weekend when he helped the Tigers to a 2-1 win at Watford.
Guzan has struggled to establish himself at Villa, making just two first-team appearances in this season at Villa Park.
The 26-year-old has impressed during his stay at Hull and he admits he may have to leave Villa on a permanent basis if he is not part of Gerard Houllier's long-term plans.
"I haven't talked with Villa yet. We will see what happens in the next few weeks," said Guzan.
"Whether I am part of their plans or not I'm not quite sure.
"Hopefully they will have taken notice. If not, I guess my answer is that I won't want to stay. But you can't predict the future.
"I have one year left after the summer. I want to stay in England. This country produces fantastic football."
