Barcelona have been handed a boost with the news that Lionel Messi's groin injury is not serious.
Messi was forced to miss Argentina's friendly with Costa Rica in midweek because of the complaint.
It was feared the problem could sideline Messi for this weekend's clash with Villarreal, but tests have shown no damage to his abductor muscle.
"Leo Messi arrived this morning at Barcelona, along with his team-mates (Diego) Milito and (Javier) Mascherano," read a Barca statement.
"After completing tests the doctors have ruled out any abductor muscle injury in his right leg.
"The player will continue physio treatment until Saturday and will then be evaluated ahead of the match against Villarreal."
Fellow forward Bojan Krkic is also doubt for the trip to El Madrigal after picking up an ankle injury while playing for Spain Under 21s earlier this week.
