Wolves boss Mick McCarthy hopes to have fit-again Adlene Guedioura available again providing he comes through a reserves match.
The Algeria international has been on the sidelines since fracturing his tibia against Aston Villa last September.
Guedioura is pencilled in to play against Blackpool's reserves on Wednesday and McCarthy is hoping to utilise his services sooner rather than later.
The 25-year-old has looked sharp in training and McCarthy has hinted he could be in his match squad to face Newcastle United at St James' Park on Saturday.
"Adlene will have his game and then he'll be ready for us, I'm sure," said McCarthy.
"Adlene has been the perfect patient and has done everything that's been asked of him. He looks great in training.
"I don't think he'll need many games to be back in contention."
