Millwall striker Josh McQuoid has been added to the Northern Ireland squad for the Euro 2012 qualifier with Slovenia.

McQuoid, who made his senior debut against Morocco in November, has been called up for Tuesday's game at Windsor Park as coach Nigel Worthington has several selection concerns.

Experienced forward David Healy will miss the game through suspension, while fellow attacker Kyle Lafferty is a concern with a knee injury.

Lafferty played in Friday's 2-1 defeat away to Serbia and the Rangers striker admits it was a risk to have featured in Belgrade.

Backfired

"I had been training with it and I don't think I should have been playing, but I gave it a go and it backfired," said Lafferty.

Captain Aaron Hughes is also a doubt for the visit of Slovenia after hurting his shoulder against Serbia.

Hughes said: "It is now up to the medics - it's fingers crossed that the scan gives me the all clear and I'll rejoin the rest of the boys in Belfast."

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans is another worry for Worthington after being replaced late on against Serbia due to a groin complaint.
