Sheffield Wednesday have signed Premier League duo Joey O'Brien and Lee Nicholls on loan for the rest of the season.
The versatile O'Brien arrives for a second spell at Hillsborough from Bolton Wanderers, while teenage goalkeeper Nicholls has joined from Wigan Athletic.
O'Brien has not made a first-team appearance for Bolton since October 2008 due to a knee injury and has been building up his fitness.
He previously had a loan stint with the Owls in the 2004/05 season and Bolton boss Owen Coyle feels O'Brien will benefit from the chance to play first-team football.
"Joey had a real stop-start season with his injury," Coyle told the club's official website.
"He's battled hard to get his fitness back and this loan move to Sheffield Wednesday is a good opportunity for him to play games and regain his match sharpness.
"It's a great chance for him to put himself back in contention for the first team."
Nicholls, meanwhile, will provide cover in Gary Megson's squad after also undertaking loan spells at Hartlepool United and Shrewsbury Town this season.
