Wolves striker Sam Vokes is hoping to secure a return to Sheffield United for the rest of the season.

Striker enjoyed month-long loan at Bramall Lane

Sam Vokes is hoping to secure a return to Sheffield United for the rest of the season after completing his initial one-month stay. The Wales international has made six appearances, scoring one goal, for the Blades since joining from Wolves last month. However, the 21-year-old has revealed that he would like to extend his time with the Blades and help them avoid relegation this season. "It has been great to get some games there because that is what I wanted to do when I joined and I'd love to stay there for the rest of the season and help them avoid relegation," Vokes told skysports.com. "I haven't spoken to anyone at Wolves about it yet because I'm away with Wales, but it is something I would like to sort out when I get back. "I had a tough start to the season having been out for around five months with a hamstring injury, which was a bit of a nightmare, but getting a run in the team at Sheffield United and scoring against Nottingham Forest has got me going again."
