Sandro is relishing the prospect of facing Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League but does not feel there is any reason for Tottenham to be scared.
Spurs have enjoyed a fairytale debut campaign in Europe's premier club competition but are not expected to go much further after being drawn against Spanish giants Real in the last eight.
Jose Mourinho's side boast a phenomenal array of world-class talent and Sandro admits it was exciting to discover they would be Tottenham's next opponents.
However, the Brazilian midfielder is confident of victory, insisting that Spurs have earned the right to be taken seriously as a major continental force.
"When I found out the news we were going to play Real Madrid, I was very happy," Sandro told Sky Sports News.
"It is a dream of mine, and any professional, to play against one of the biggest teams in the world.
"But at the same time we are going to go there without fear."
Tottenham knocked out AC Milan in the last 16, having finished above Inter, FC Twente and Werder Bremen in the group phase.
Many players have enhanced their reputations, including Sandro, who has been in terrific form over the past few weeks after moving to White Hart Lane in the summer.
"We know Real have some of the best players in the world like Cristiano Ronaldo and Angel Di Maria, but at the same time we've got fantastic players and we wouldn't have progressed this far in the competition if we didn't," the 22-year-old continued.
"People now know that Tottenham are one of the strongest teams in Europe, and we deserve to be up there playing against the best."
