Striker Kevin Doyle believes Wolves' recent run of form will have fired a warning to their relegation rivals.
Wolves are just a point away from escaping the Premier League drop zone after taking 11 points from their last six games.
A crucial 1-0 win at Aston Villa on Saturday was the latest in a string of encouraging results, leaving Wolves only a point adrift of their struggling neighbours.
They can also take comfort from the fact they face what could be considered a gentle run-in after the international break, having already taken on the 'big' clubs both at home and away.
Republic of Ireland Doyle believes their rivals will be feeling the heat in what is shaping up to be a tight relegation battle.
"This is the first kind of run we've had but it is good timing," Doyle said in the Daily Star.
"We've felt all along that we just needed to string a few results together.
"We have got a decent run-in and teams that are just above us now, like Villa, will really be looking over their shoulders."
