Carlos Cuellar has confirmed he is fit to return to the Aston Villa team for Saturday's derby against Wolves.
The defender has been out for the past month due to a hamstring injury suffered in the 1-1 draw at Blackpool, but is ready to face their Midlands rivals.
With Villa having several defensive injury concerns for the game at Villa Park, Cuellar is eager to help the club's survival bid.
Cuellar said: "It's been frustrating because I have been out injured for some time. I've really wanted to help but not been able to.
Raring to play
"But the most important thing is I am fit, feel really good and I am ready to go.
"I am 100% fit now and raring to play.
"I might have an opportunity to play because of injuries and suspensions and I will do my very best for Villa. I can't wait to contribute. I am ready."
Cuellar knows the importance of Saturday's game and the need for Villa to keep a clean sheet in the battle to stay in the Premier League.
He said: "Clean sheets are so, so important. That's going to be vital as we look to finish the season well.
"The table is so tight but we know if we keep a clean sheet it will be at least one point and if our attacking players show their usual quality, it will be three in the games coming up.
"We want to win games but as we come towards the end of the season, making sure we don't lose games is important for the team too."
